读 Culture Shock! Korea by Sonja Vegdahl Hur & Ben Seunghwa Hur
A guide to some aspects of Korean customs and culture.
Some stuff which I found interesting:
~ A smile need not mean happiness but shame or embarrassment.
~ 'Going Dutch' is not practised. Paying the bill is done by the person who did the inviting.
~ Resting hand on the thigh of a same sex friend is one way of showing friendship.
It seems that certain conservative practices still have a place in the Korean society.
However, this book was written quite some time ago, so not sure how much of it is still relevant today.
